Mobily, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, has announced the launch of its groundbreaking "Digital Learning Initiative," aimed at providing equal educational opportunities for students in remote and underserved communities across the kingdom.Revolutionizing Access to EducationThe initiative will deploy mobile digital classrooms equipped with high-speed internet, tablets, and interactive learning platforms to 50 remote communities that currently lack adequate educational infrastructure. Each digital classroom can accommodate up to 30 students and will be operated by trained educational facilitators."Education is the cornerstone of national development, and technology should be an enabler, not a barrier," said Dr. Sarah Al-Mansoori, Director of Educational Initiatives at Mobily. "Our Digital Learning Initiative ensures that geographical location no longer determines the quality of education a child receives."Key Features of the Initiative1. Mobile Learning Labs: Custom-built vehicles equipped with solar-powered charging stations, satellite internet connectivity, and 25 tablets pre-loaded with educational content.2. Interactive Learning Platform: A specially developed platform that offers curriculum-aligned content in mathematics, science, and language arts, with gamified elements to enhance student engagement.3. Teacher Training Program: Comprehensive training for local educators on leveraging digital tools effectively in their teaching practices.4. Parent Engagement Portal: A dedicated app that allows parents to track their children's progress and communicate with teachers.Impact and ReachThe initial phase of the initiative will focus on three key regions:Southern Province: 20 communities in mountainous areas.Eastern Desert Regions: 15 nomadic communities.Northern Border Areas: 15 remote villages.Approximately 5,000 students between grades 1-9 are expected to benefit from the program in its first year. The initiative particularly focuses on STEM education with special modules on coding and digital literacy.Partnerships and CollaborationMobily has collaborated with several key partners to ensure the success of this initiative, including the Ministry of Education for curriculum alignment, local universities for content development, international educational technology experts for platform design, and community leaders for implementation strategy.Testimonials from Pilot ProgramAhmed Al-Rashidi, a teacher from one of the pilot communities, shared: "Before this initiative, our students had never used a tablet. Now, they're not just consuming content—they're creating it. The transformation in their engagement and learning outcomes has been remarkable."How to Get InvolvedEducational institutions and qualified teachers interested in participating in the program can apply through Mobily's dedicated portal. The company is also accepting applications from communities that would benefit from the mobile digital classrooms. For more details and application instructions please visit the official Mobily portal or contact their educational initiatives team.
